Gijs Groot is a right winger and plays in the youth academy of AZ Alkmaar. He is a quick, intelligent player with a natural instinct for goals. Gijs plays with confidence, has excellent dribbling skills, and isn’t afraid to take on his opponent. His speed and technique allow him to beat defenders with ease and create danger down the flank. He has been part of AZ's youth academy since the U11s, where he continues to develop his game season after season.
