Aykan Soykan signs new extension deal

Extending the partnership feels like a logical next step for Aykan Soykan. The midfielder will remain affiliated with Iconics Management for the next two years.

Last summer, Aykan took a major step by signing with Ajax, where he now represents the U17s. The move has felt right from the start. He experiences the higher level on a daily basis, quickly found his place within the team, and has adapted seamlessly to the intensity of both training sessions and matches.

The past few years have been highly successful for Aykan. He signed contracts with both Vitesse and Ajax and featured for several Dutch youth national teams. At Ajax, he feels just how high the standards are: every match matters, trophies are always the objective, and the level of quality is consistently demanding. It asks a lot of him, but it also gives him energy and keeps him sharp.

Aykan is a left-footed player central defender, or a defensive midfielder who is equally comfortable in a box-to-box role. He combines physical strength with an excellent left foot and strong awareness on the ball. On the pitch, he naturally takes responsibility and leads by example, constantly organizing and directing his teammates.

Renewing his commitment to Iconics Management feels like a logical decision. The guidance aligns perfectly with where he is now and where he wants to go, with clear goals firmly in sight.
